Question FATTY! - December 2nd 2010, 07:46 PM

I really want to lose weight but I cant seem to! there is always something in the way!
im too busy to revising for exams exercise (I also have a heart condition which makes it harder)
Im getting no support from my friends! they are trying to be nice by saying I don't need to diet but im not doing for anyone else I don't feel comfortable this size so I want to change but they seem to think its because im getting bullied when im not I have never once been called fat and I know im not huge I would just like to be a bit slimmer
I also comfort eat which isn't good as a have family and school problems floating around along with friends all separating and exams coming up so I really don't know what to do!
im not sitting on my but with chocolate bars instead of trying i really am trying to lose this but last time I dieted I did it all properly lost a tiny bit of weight the first week but then put more on! its really annoying me as my best friends birthday is coming up and she found a dress the opposite of hers (we are doing a dark light thing she is all white and fluffy and im dark and Gothic its going to look great) that I love and she really want me to wear it but its a big figure hugging and will really show off my love handles and tummy.

I think if you're just wanting to have a healthier lifestyle, you need to be really strong willed. Set out a weekly plan of what you're going to eat and when. This will make it easier for you to track what your eating.

Also maybe you could try walking the dog (if you have one) once a night,.. even if it's just for 10 minutes at a quick pace. Or if you dont have a dog, going for a walk on your own cant do any harm either.

If you're worried about the dress, there are these corset type things that pull you in slightly. My mum sometimes wears once when she feels insecure. http://image.bizrate.co.uk/resize?sq=140&uid=2043411509

Basically all it does is 'hold you in' i guess. You might feel alot more comfortable wearing something like it.

I hope you dont think its a bit weird.

All that is required for weight loss is a calorie deficit. This is a fairly simple concept, but you need to be doing the right thing to create one. What did you do when you "did it properly"? For all we know what you were doing wasn't particularly conducive to weight loss. What were you eating/doing for exercise?

I'm sure you are not fat. If you're really that concerned about it, start maybe doing some sit-ups or some leg lunges everyday, only a few to start with, and eat lots of fruits and vegtables. Also, drink lots of water.
