Re: My ear! - December 25th 2010, 01:32 PM

Well, I'm a swimmer and I get ear infections ALL the time. I use Swimmers ear. It works best for me if I lay on a pillow and leave it in for like 10 mintues while watching TV. It doesn't cost much, maybe six dollars.
But your ears are really important. I know you said you can't see a doctor, but please remember not to stick a qtip down in your ear, because you damage it really bad.
Some people says vinegar works, but I havn't found that to be true.
Hope you feel better soon!

The best I can suggest is OTC painkillers, possibly a heating pad against the ear, and a good ear drop. If it doesn't subside in a few days, however, you will have to see a doctor to get antibiotics because infections can spread and cause serious problems.
Feel better!

You might also be able to call a local doctor and explain your symptoms and circumstances, they won't diagnose but they may give you advice.
