back and neck ache :-( - February 25th 2009, 06:38 PM

i've always suffered from bad back ache and neck ache and lately it's really getting me down, it aches all the time and feels very stiff. the aching is really close to the spine, infact it's at the side of the spine. my mum has to massage it for me else it doesn't go! and the only way to make it go is to click my neck (i no sounds bad! lol) i've tried changing my pillows and getting new ones, sitting up straight, walking straight, relaxing in a bath (but i can't use radox or anything because of my skin, long story lol) i don't knnow what else to do! i exercise a bit because i dance every week at colege. can anyone on here give me any advice??
should i see a docter? it really aches and lately i'm not getting any sleep from it .
thanks for any help and advice

There's this heat cream stuff that helps my back when its like that, I don't know about the neck though. I would suggest going to the doctor incase it gets any worse.

I would definitely see your doctor about this. He or she can give you the best solution.

Yoga might be good. Heating pads and something like Motrin which is Ibuprofen that's recommended for muscle pain are also an option.

Dehydration can cause muscle aches as well. Make sure you're getting enough water and if you're very active (you mentioned dancing every day) something like Gatorade to help replace electrolytes.

i can advise you go to your doctor. sometimes we are sleeping lot of time this is one of the reason of back or neck ache. you can discuss your problem with your docotor. i think your disk is not in right place.
