White spots on tongue - October 11th 2011, 10:19 PM

I hate these, it happens when I've been on a bender, which i had at the weekend and its just developed.. on the part of my tongue which catches my teeth, is there any way to get rid of these quicker?

Are they bumps or just areas of your tongue which are white?

Most likely the alcohol is setting the bacteria in your mouth off balance. Nothing good hygiene can't fix. Try brushing your mouth right after you are finished drinking. It may prevent them. To make it go away, burhs more frequently.

If you are referring to bumps on your tongue, similar to what you might get after you burn your tongue or drink something like OJ often or eat a lot of salty chips - these are called Acid Bumps. Warm salt water can help relieve the pain, but it basically means you shouldn't eat/drink so much of the food/drink that caused them,
