Terribly Sick in the Morning -
October 20th 2011, 04:06 AM
I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow but I wanted to know if anyone else has dealt with this. I feel sick to my stomach in the mornings when I wake up for school, I've missed so many days my parents are transferring me back to the Charter High School. I just feel sick to my stomach, I'm freezing cold all the time even when it's super hot, or sometimes I'll be hot and cold at the same time, I know that sounds weird but like I'll be sweating and I know I need to take off my sweatshirt but I feel so cold, and another thing is I am shaking all the time, usually not a whole lot, it rarely gets bad but I will shiver a bit and shake.
I'm starting to get really worried because over the summer I had been going to therapy for depression but mostly for an eating disorder. Well after school started I relapsed badly, it's even worse than it ever was for the last 7 years, and I'm trying to recover but it's so difficult without a therapist and even with one it's hard, I've dropped unhealthy amounts of weight every week, but I'm overweight so I was happy, but I'm afraid it could be causing these symptoms, and if it is, I am really scared. I plan to bring it up to my doctor tomorrow, and I'm asking my aunt to leave the room or stay out for 5 minutes so I can tell him about my eating problems because it scares me that it could be causing this, because ever since about a month after school started and a month after I relapsed I have had these awful symptoms. I have a feeling that's what's causing it and I need to tell him so he can tell me if it is that or something else and if it is my eating issues, how we can solve this. I'm just so scared knowing this is even a possibility, knowing that I could've caused this much damage to my body all so I could lose weight. Especially after getting help to recover. In any case I should have some kind of idea tomorrow, I'm just scared to find out. [edit]: Holy shit I am very scared now! I just went to google to see if being on birth control pills would be possible with the current anti-depressant I'm on and I'm really scared now because it said you should not take it if you have an eating disorder, I'm so scared now because I've been on it for a month or so and now I'm super scared, I don't know what to do, I'm only 15 and my whole world is crashing around me, I'm so scared I just want someone to hold me and tell me it's going to be ok.

The reason they tell you not to take birth control while having anorexia or bulimia is:
1) You might throw the pill up when you are purging your food. 2) It can cause weight gain which can trigger people into starting again. 3) Anorexia and bulimia mess with your hormones and the way your body works, the pill does too....so then your body is going through several conflicting stages and causes it to get out of whack. It's not actually harmful, except you may be extremely moody, it could cause depression/worsen it, and the weight gain could cause you to resort back to anorexia or bulimia. It could be the reason you feel sick in the mornings. Also, birth control alone could cause you to have nausea so if you haven't been on them more than a couple months this could be the cause of that. The cold/hot flashes could definitely be related to either the pill or the relapse. Or it may be something else entirely. Only your doctor will be able to tell. So, calm down. I don't think you are in any serious danger other than your relapse which is just bad in itself. Relapses happen, don't feel bad. Tell your doctor. They should understand. This can help them diagnose what you are going through now too. Hang in there. PM if you want. So you have gray hair and you're only 26
that's just another reason I love you... ![]() ![]() ![]() |
