My boyfriend complains.. - January 3rd 2012, 12:42 AM

  • His neck and legs hurt
  • His whole body hurts..
What does this mean? He's skinny, but not sickly skinny but skinny. He eats prob more than he should. Stays up real late
but this concerns me his symptoms.. Can anyone help??

I know what its like to want to die; how it hurts to smile; how you try to fit in but you can't; how you hurt yourself on the outside; to try to kill the thing that's in the inside.

I'm not trying to be blunt, but those are really general symptoms. It really could be anything.

I agree with the above... Should probably talk to a doctor if it's bothering him that much.

He probably just has a horrible sleep position, going off the fact you said he stays up late.

Going off of what the person above said, My doctor has told me the best sleeping position possible is on your side with your non-dominant hand side on top with your arm laying across a pillow to support your arm so your back does not have to support the weight of your arm.

Hey, Kelly, the other users are right in the fact that those are very general symptoms and could be caused by a vast amount of things.

It may be his sleep position or not getting enough sleep. When our bodies don't get enough sleep, they tend to get very sore and achy like when you have a fever.

How long has this been going on?
Does anything make it better?
Worse?
By hurts, do you mean it's sore to touch or just when pressure is applied or all the time?

So you have gray hair and you're only 26

that's just another reason I love you...

Hot baths (though showers can work too). As hot as he can stand without burning himself. Sitting in a shower or lying in the bath for 15 minutes or more. Grab some epsom salt or some other bath salts to really relax in (for bath).

Could try ibuoprofen, motrin, etc. to help relieve pain and possible swelling if it's his muscles tensing.

Chamomile or Green tea to relax and give him some antioxidants.

My first guess is muscle pain or fatigue, so I'd try focusing on relaxation techniques such as some of them I mentioned above. Give it about a week (two at most). If it doesn't fade or go away, it's something else and a doctor should be seen since it's lasted so long.

Painkillers? Fuck no. Fix the problem. Feeding him painkillers is not fixing the problem.

It could be anything from the flu to growing pains to a serious medical issue. If it's ongoing (Ie, more than a couple of days) then go to a doctor. The doctor might try and prescribe you some pain meds and send you home. Roll with the punches on that one. Go to a specialist and get it sorted.
