Slept funny - April 15th 2012, 08:22 PM

Okay last night I got very drunk (save me the lecture of drinking too much I know the risks etc). But I slept funny and my neck and between my shoulder blades have been aching all day and it hurts to move neck in certain directions etc, I know its from drinking to much, and I did have a hangover which has since gone. So what I'm asking is this : Is there anything that I can do to ease the aching in my neck from sleeping funny due to being drunk ?

I've slept funny and woken up with a sore neck before. It sucks, I know. I would suggest using a heat pack or something on your neck to help ease the soreness. Also, even though it hurts, it's best to move your neck around. If you keep it stiff it tends to remain sore. That's how it usually is for me, at least. Hope I was of some help, and feel better soon.

I love the Icee Hot sticky pads. They work real well for these types of things. You just stick them on for 8 hours.

If you don't want to buy anything, a hot bath or hot shower for 15-20 minutes should help. Then keep a heating pad or wet wash cloth - put in microwave for 15-20 seconds - on for 15 minutes, of 15 minutes. Until it starts to feel better.

I'll give them ago, I had karate tonight and the stretches we do at karate have helped my neck a-bit I think. Will give the bath ago tomorrow. Bought some new bubble bath and shampoo today so have the perfect excuse for a bath. (usally I shower).
