yeah it should be fine - when i was on codeine i also took an over the counter cold remedy [can't remember which one] and was told by my doctor that it was fine. just be careful not to mix two medications that both contain paracetamol because you don't want to be accidentally OD'ing on that..

Ladies don’t take this the wrong way but maybe you should ask a pharmacist these drug related questions because that’s something you don’t want to mix up, although I don’t know if elles right or not just saying for future reference.

yeah you're right - i wasn't saying i know for definite, i was just saying that when i took codeine i was fine to take an over the counter cold medication. obviously, for definite confirmation you should always ask a doctor or read the packaging, OP.

It's definitely not a good idea to be taking too much paracetamol, however the paracetamol should help with your temperature. Is it co-codemol that you're taking? I have checked the ingredients and it contains Aspirin rather than paracetamol, I would strongly recommend talking to your doctor before mixing these drugs.

no she said she's taking codeine. eek, co-codemol is dodgy to mix with most things - been there, done that, got the t-shirt..

that's weird because codeine made me sick too, and i've heard other people say that. i guess it just doesn't agree with a lot of people.
