Overly Emotional on pot? - March 22nd 2010, 02:05 AM

For some reason, whenever I'm coming down from a high I always start getting very emotional. Like when I go to sleep when I'm high and I wake up I always feel so depressed, I start to think about my parents, my relationships with people, or the fact that I'm actually doing drugs. I usually end up crying or getting very upset, I want to know does this ever happen to any one else? Is this normal?

Plus, I've been smoking for 2 years, and this started happening after taking a 6 month break, I also enjoy smoking and I almost always have fun, enlightening, and relaxing highs. What I'm talking about only happens when it goes away and I'm sober.

Ehh, nothings wrong. It's just the comedown from the weed. It tends to get you depressed.

Hey there. (:

What you are taking is a class B drug. Possession is illegal no matter what you're using it for. There's a page here with some useful information[Click.] that you may wish to read through.

As to answer your question, the way you are feeling is most likely caused by withdrawal and the comedown. The most common withdrawal symptom is anxiety. What are you doing when you feel this way? Keeping yourself busy and active can help. Have you considered stopping doing drugs or speaking to somebody about the drug use? You also say that you took a six month break, why was this and what caused you to start smoking again?

Feel free to message me any time.

it's a pretty normal side effect. lots of my friends get really depressed and anxious when coming down.

..and our dreams will break the boundaries of our fears..

For some people they can have a bad reaction to pot later on after doing it for a long time. I had a friend, she did it for a long time then all of a sudden one night she had a horrible episode and it scared her out of her wits, so she doesn't do it anymore.
But yeah I'd say if it is having a negative toll on you, stop.

In this kind of situation do follow some exercises and keep you engaged yourselves in some other activities.
Do meditation, it helps you to get your mind relaxed.

Thanks so much, this really helps because no one I know goes through this, and it helps put my mind at ease. I'm going to stop for a bit, but its for entirely different reasons... I need a job lol but thank you again <3
