How do I get off the drugs? -

My dad hits me a lot and drugs help me deal with the pain. I only do it when my brothers are not around and I have never done it in front of them. I'm ashamed of doing drugs but they help a lot. I can not get perfessional help as my dad would go mad. My 5 year old brother had found one of my needles this morning. I thought I threw it away but I guess not. Anyway I need help to get off the drugs. I have done all different ones, basically whatever I could get with the money I had. I don't know what to do, but I need to get off the drugs. My brother finding the needle has been a wake up call, I really need to get off them. I never thought I was addicted, but literally, I know now that I am, I feel like I need drugs to get me through the day. Can anyone help me

Hey Becky, I'm glad to hear that you're ready to get help. Professional help will be necessary regardless of how your dad reacts. You should not try to stop without professional help because it's just too dangerous depending on what you've been taking. The professional can help you deal with your dad's reaction, but it's better that he find out now and that he know you want to stop rather than him finding out some other way. I would suggest you start by making a doctors appointment and then they can direct you to more specific help.
