Angry Getting sick of her.. - July 10th 2013, 02:37 PM

I have this friend. And she's my best friend... But she's become a bit of a bitch lately...

She's constantly acting like she's smarter than me in every way... And that she's always right. Sometimes I feel like she's purposely trying to disagree with me just to make me wrong and her right. For example, I'm a cat lover... Always have been. And so we were talking about cats and I was telling her about the exotic breeds of cats such as manx and scottish fold, and she said something to prove me wrong in some way which I forgot, and I told her to stop acting like she knows more about cats than me, and her exact reply was 'I do.' She went on to repeat the names of breeds I had mentioned and said they were expensive, and continued with 'and normal cats aren't as expensive'. Which in my head I was thinking, 'all cats have a breed... it's just some are a lot more common' Sometimes, she acts like her opinions are more right than mine, and every time I do something wrong or mess up she looks at me with a face that says 'what are you stupid?' laughs and usually adds in either 'retard!' or 'idiot!'. She says these are just jokes, but they don't feel like jokes to me.

That was issue #1. Yes, there's more. She's also very... What's the word? She does stuff to me, and I do the same stuff back but it upsets her. She tends to blame most things on me (e.g. once on the way home from school it had been raining, there was a muddy trail that we usually take and she turned down it and got her bike covered in mud, then, i KNEW she was going to say this, i was waiting for it, she said 'you know, the only reason why i went down that path was because you did'). She makes messes and gets into stuff without putting it back, leaving me and mum to tidy up after her.

I don't know what to do, I can't replace her, because although she's an ass, she is really my only friend... And she really does care about me when she's not being a bitch. She stands up for me, which no one else does. She's really really funny and I really can't find anyone else like her. We are really alike in appearance and she's the only person I know who shares a clothing size with me... Honestly, she's a true friend, and I believe we can talk through this......

But how can we talk over it without getting in a fight?

I understand as I also have a friend that is like that and I just tell her calmly that I donít like it when she does it and if she carries on I tell her to leave me alone to calm down because you didnít listen. I have known this girl for years she also has some problems which means sometimes she canít help herself. (Iím not saying there is something wrong with you friend)

Also your young and people change, well they change when youíre older too but you at an age where youíre finding out what you like and donít like.
I think that next time she does it call her out on it, try to explain that she wouldnít like it if it was the other way around and that she is supposed to be a friend that supports you.
You can message me if you ever need to talk!
