Have you tried TH's chat room the off-topic section of TH? If you're looking for people to discuss punk music with, you could start a new thread and I'd gladly join in.

As to friends in general, why do they need to be "punk"? While I get wanting someone to share your interests, my friends tend to come from all walks of life. Certain characteristics like being a good friend and fun to hang out with are a lot more important than any labels you could put on them.

Good luck

Hi there, Beth!

I think the user above me gave you two great options! Going to the chatroom may be a good idea, and/or making a thread discussing punk music!

Although I do have to say, I still always recommend having a social life offline. Meaning if the problem is that you have a lack of friends offline, and are trying to "even it out" by having online friends, I don't recommend it. While it's awesome and perfectly fine to have online friends, you should still maintain a social connection as well as maintain healthy friendships offline (i.e., through groups, clubs, sports, classes, work, etc).

Best wishes,
Chris

I hope you know that you deserve it all. The best, the most honest, the most beautiful purest love in the world. Not only to be loved by others, but to be loved by yourself. To look in the mirror and think "Yes, I'm exactly who I want to be". To speak up and be proud of yourself. To be brave and open. You deserve the nicest and most caring people to walk into your life. You deserve it all, you know. The whole world...

I live in a really dull area that doesn't have any alternative groups, only groups for the sporty kind, mainstream kids..so I can't really find anyone like me where I live
