Hey there, Sophie.

I'm sorry to hear your brother is taking drugs. It's always hard to find something like this out about a family member, someone you care about, and I think it's harder to find out from someone else, rather than the family member themselves.

I really think this is something you need to confront your brother about. Talk to him, and get his side of the story. Ask him why he's making the choice to take drugs, what's causing him to want to do them. Tell him you care about him and you're concerned. Communication is the key here, I truly think speaking with him about this could help.

I'm not sure whether or not your parents are aware of his drug use? If they aren't, think about telling your parents what your brother is doing. They might be able to help him. If your parents are already aware, think about having a family meeting of sorts, so you all can think about what you want to do next and how best to help your brother.

Hi Sophie,

If someone saw your brother on drugs at work, than that is a serious issue. Depending on how old your brother is, then they should be contacting his parents and talking to him about what he did. What he did was inappropriate, and it's understandable that he was barred.

I think you should really talk to your brother about this. Let him know that you are there for him, but you do not agree with what he's doing at all. It's really dangerous to get caught up in drugs, so he should quit while he's ahead. I would suggest talking to your brother first and then talking to your parents about this. Tell him that if he wont tell them himself then you will.
