Hey everyone.

My friend recently joined the army, and a couple of hours (about 6) later, I got a message stating she had been put onto the front lines in a war somewhere.
I dont know what to do, and I know she'll probably be okay but..
I'm just so worried.

Likes? You ask my likes, I will say tacos. ALWAYS!

I can't imagine how worried you are right now. I would be worried if I was in your situation, too. I think it might help if you think of an affirmation and enforce it to yourself. You might say something like, "Laura is doing all she can to keep herself and others safe." When you start to feel insecure about things, remind yourself of this and take a few deep breaths. I think you should consider finding some distractions to keep your mind off of everything. Maybe you can call some friends, or hang out with your family as it helps to have people around you. Distractions during times like these can be really helpful.

The mountains are calling and I must go.

They whispered to her
you cannot withstand the storm
she whispered back
i am the storm.

Re: My friend Laura - February 29th 2016, 01:31 AM

Did you find out a couple hours later, after she enrolled, that she was placed on the frontlines or did you just find out a couple hours ago that she was there.

If you found out that soon then I would question that because people have to go to boot camp and do all other kinds of things before they are allowed to be placed in those situations. My boyfriend went to bootcamp for 9 weeks and then he had to do training for the position he had been assigned.

If I misread your post then I would suggest that you talk to someone about your concerns regarding this and get some support from them. It might also help if you journaled or blogged about your concerns to get them out of your head.

I hope that this helped and I am wishing you the best of luck.
