About a Friend, need advice to help her - June 13th 2009, 02:44 AM

I love her, I really do... but she needs help, not like councillors or anything but a friend WHO knows the right thing to say.

She hates herself, and like me, she hates the silence because you know, there are times when in the silence, the world speaks too loud and you just remember the awful things you've said and done. She's depressed and she hates the fact that people envy her, but come on, she's beautiful, she's intelligent, and she's got some great friends.

Something's bothering her and she doesn't want to talk about it to me. I do know that at one stage she felt guilty for her mum breaking up with her boyfriend because she hated the boyfriend so much.

Any advice on what to say to her? I just want her to stop feeling so crap, and down, and... its not fair on her.

Why not tell her what you just told us? =) That she is loved, and she needn't blame herself for things that are beyond her control. I sincerely doubt that her mother and her ex-boyfriend broke up simply because she didn't like him... there was something else going on between the two of them, or maybe they just hadn't been together for long, didn't click, and it seemed like she could have influenced that decision to some degree.

Thanks, and yeah, I guess but I don't know, she was really upset, not to mention her cat was run over recently
