How to deal with being Disowned - July 17th 2009, 08:17 PM

My parents disowned me on June 22nd and I still don't really know how to deal with it... Everyone keeps saying its their loss, but I'm just not used to not having my family.

How do you cope with something like this?

Hi

Sorry about your situation.

All you can do is not let the pain riun your life....your 19...its your time to make a family.....dont rush into anything...but soon you will find someone to settle with and if you dont....that doesnt matter either.....your not own your own....so dont feel lonely. Most people start to fly the nest at around 18-21, anyhow.

If you want to chat my inbox is open.

That's a very tough situation for you to be in, and I'm sorry your parents couldn't deal with whatever it was, but it's through fault of their own to do something so cruel and drastic.

I don't know if it's so easy for other people, but I tend to warm up to make-shift families very easily--like super close friends, and just remember that you don't have to be related to have a familial connection with someone.
