Unhappy This is going to make me sound horrible... - July 20th 2009, 05:40 PM

But how do I tell my best friend that I just don't want to hang out right now? We've been hanging out non-stop for the past two months and she's starting to drive me insane. I love her so much, but I think that us not having more than two days apart is going to kill our relationship. I can't really tell her no because my brother is also best friends with her brother. They've probably already made plans to hang out...I don't want to ask him to not hang out with his friend either. Originally, she made plans for today with one of her old friends. They got into a big fight Saturday and canceled everything. Now she wants to hang out today.

I don't like seeing people when I depressed. I feel like the moodkiller and it really brings my self confidence down. I just want to be alone for a couple more days. =/ I know, this makes me sound horrible. She's my best friend, but I don't want to kill our friendship by seeing each other so much.

That doesn't sound horrible at all. Even the best of friends need a break sometimes. I would just be honest with her and tell her what you told us. Just say you're not really in the mood to hang out with anyone right now. If she gets upset, maybe you could set up plans for a few days later to make sure she doesn't feel like you're just blowing her off altogether.

That way she knows that it's not that you don't want to hang out with her, it's just that you want to be by yourself for a little while. If you guys are best friends, I'm sure she'll understand.

Aš tave myliu, Nanny. I'm carrying your love with me.

It really doesnt sound horrible, everyone needs their own space once in a while. If you tell her your ill and you need to stay in bed for a few days, or you can always say your busy to her and youll meet up in a few days, a little white lie to avoid hurting her feelings.
