Should I tell my mom I smoke bud? - January 31st 2009, 05:18 PM

It's remarkable... I can come home with my eyes completely glazed and my mom asks how my day was. It almost feels unfair for all my buddies with super chappy parents. But my mom and I don't have that kind of open relationship, yet I still have some urge to tell her.

If it's not a problem I should probably just leave it be the way it is huh?

If you want to get in trouble, tell her. If you don't want to get in trouble, don't tell her.

Unless your mom is like my dad, and is a 60 year old hippie.

Hey there,

I think that it's better to have an open relationship with your parents. If you feel compelled to tell your mom about this, then do so. This concerns her just as much as it concerns you and she should probably know before it gets you in some kind of trouble. It will be much worse if you get in trouble for it and she finds out that way. If she asks how your day was, then tell her. I'm sure she cares about you. She may not notice, but maybe she's not experienced enough in what you are doing.

I think it would be better to explain it to her.

All the best to you.
Nat.

i advise telling your mum. if she finds out, it'll cause a lot more trouble than if you tell her. and it will hurt her feelings.
if your instinct is to tell her, that's what i'd do. no matter how unobservant she may seem, parents are human too. she's got you and your wellbeing at heart.
go with the instinct. build your relationship with her.
best wishes (and a hug)
r&r xx

Have a free hug.

Why be stingy? Take another.

It's gonna be okay.
