Black Sheep - February 15th 2009, 06:12 PM

I feel like i'm the black of my family, because whenever something happens i am usually the one my dad will blame. and today on the way home in the car i said is it ok if i go on the computer when i get in, my mum said i could, so when we got in my sister went upstairs and i said to her please do not go on the main computer as i am going to go on it as i asked in the car. my sister then goes into the computer room and turns it on and tells me tuff deal with it. now if i had done that to my sister i would have got a really big telling off and probably would have got hit by my dad. so ive tried to explain this to my mum that i feel like i am the black sheep of the family and that my sister does not get told off for the things i do and get told off for. so it ended up in my dad comming into the room and yelling at me because my mum was not listening to me and was just talking over me so i have shouted my dad heard and came in and shouted at me. i then ended up going upstiars sitting in front of my bedroom door and crying, and my sister gets away with everything. if i had done what my sister did i would have not only been told off and most likely been hit but been made to come off the computer and banned from it for the rest of the night. my sister did it to cause trouble she knew what she was doing. but i am still the black sheep of my family and i hate it.

i know how you feel. that used to happen to me... now my brother and i both get yelled at needlessly... but... anyways...

you can't really do much about it. unless you can sit down and talk to your mum about how you feel... then nothing is going to change... nothing may change even if you talk to her... but try talking, it may help somethings.

love and hugs,
Kaylyn

I've definitely experienced the same thing in my family. I agree with Kaylyn, talking to your parents about how you feel is the only way you'll be able to change things. If they won't listen, try writing a letter.

Honestly, things didn't really improve between me and my parents until I moved out of their house. Occasionally talking to them did ease things a little bit though.
