Unhappy My Grandfather - June 7th 2013, 02:25 AM

Today My Grandfather passed away,
I was in school at the time,
But I knew what was happening,
By the time I got home, I was ready to bust into tears,
I broke the minute I saw my father crying,
He hugged me and kept repeating 'my father is dead'
Do ypu know what its like to have to be the adult
To have to hold a sobbing adult and tell them 'it all be alright'
To watch a grown man cry his eyes out.
Your heart breaks down even more.
I had to stop my tears and be the strong one,
My sisters cried when they found out,
and I just stood there like a heartless bastard,
Trying not to cry again,
My father and sisters left to go see the family,
I was alone with my mom
I was downstairs at the time and I started to stuff myself with food
I grabbed anything I could get and filled myself up
I did it to fill my depression,
Then I went upstairs and tried to get to my boyfriend,
He usually cheers me up and brings a smile to my face,
But he never responded,
Even though I fell asleep,
He never responded,
And then here I am,
Balling my eyes out as I write this
My grandfather was a good man
He may have down some bad in his life
But he was a good man
And now he is gone, gone

Hey there,

I am so sorry to hear about your grandfather's passing. I can't imagine how hard that must be on you and your family, and what you must be going through. And it's rough when you feel like you have to suddenly grow up and be the adult. But everyone at TH is here for you, okay? If you need someone to talk to, you can PM/VM me anytime at all. Things might be really hard and different for a while, but eventually you and your family will start to feel better, I promise! Time has a way of healing things. Remember that even though your grandfather may not be with you in person, he was a great man and you will always have memories of him. Stay strong, okay?

Best wishes,
Hailey

Hello Daisy,

I am so sorry to hear about your grandad passing away. I understand how hard it must be for you, because two years ago my grandad (dad's dad ) passed away. If you want to talk you can PM/ VM me anytime you want to. Remember that even though you grandad has passed away that doesn't mean that he is not in your life , he is still with you and your family in yours and your family's heart and will always be in your heart forever. Try to remember all the lovely memories you have of your grandad.

Love From Meera xx

I am so sorry to hear about your grandfather passing away. Are you able to talk to your mom about the passing of your grandfather? If so, then it might be a good thing to do because you cannot keep all of these feelings bottled up inside. I assume that your family is going to have a wake and a funeral for your grandfather. Maybe right after the wake has ended you can write a small little note to your grandfather and put it in his casket before they close it up.

Again, I am really sorry to hear about your loss and if you ever need someone to talk to, send me a pm and I will try to get back to you as soon as I can.

I'm so sorry for you loss.
It is never easy losing a loved one, remember the times you had with him, grieve and remember hes in a better place now. No more pain and suffering.
I wish the best for you family, and that you all pull through this.

I'm so sorry for your loss, I can't imagine how awful that must have been for you. You are going to become so much stronger out of this, even though its hard now. Always remember that although you will never physically gone, he will never be truly gone as long as you keep his memory alive. Keep your chin up, things will get easier. <3
