So a few days ago my brother in laws's dad died, and i just have no idea what to say to him, i mean were not really a close family as it is, and i'm terrible with feelings, and my family knows this. I'm really stuck on what to say or do.

I think that the best thing you can do is be there for him. Let him know that you will be there to talk to him if you need it, and at least then he'll know the offer is there! Besides, that, though, you don't have to make every conversation sad or serious around him. Sometimes it can help a lot during the grieving process to smile or laugh, so if you can get him to smile at least briefly, you can do that as well.

Let it come and let it be...

Hey there, Courtney.

I'm really sorry to hear about the loss. I agree with what Dez has said. Words can't fix certain things, but standing by his side, letting him know you will be there for him, and offering your services (i.e., support) will not go unrecognized, and may in fact be the best thing you can do in this situation.

With time, things for your family, including him, will get better. In the meantime, stand with him through these tough times.

Best wishes,
Chris

I hope you know that you deserve it all. The best, the most honest, the most beautiful purest love in the world. Not only to be loved by others, but to be loved by yourself. To look in the mirror and think "Yes, I'm exactly who I want to be". To speak up and be proud of yourself. To be brave and open. You deserve the nicest and most caring people to walk into your life. You deserve it all, you know. The whole world...
