Is it just me? - June 25th 2019, 12:22 AM

Back in 2012 I lost my grandfather(if u read the thread titled I miss him itíll give u the story). But anyway sometimes I feel like heís with me. Like literally. Like sometimes I feel cold air. Like cold ass hell air. Also sometimes I feel like thereís someone looking at me or behind me. I also feel like someone be walking passed me. Just the other day I turned my tv on and my PS4 turned on by itself. Scared the hell out of me. Has anyone else experience anything like this or is it just me?

I could jump to the conclusion of ghost. A ghost that seems to know you well, perhaps. Maybe there's some other explanation. While it seems a bit terrifying to have a ghost, especially one who you personally know, many don't do any harm.

There's always other possibilities. Being paranoid can be apart of it but seeing as he died many years ago, it's slim. Consider were you are when you feel the cold air. Is there a pattern? Is there a vent?

Not very good with technology so I can't explain why the PS4 turns on by itself. I also don't own one so I can't tell you if it was just asleep or if it does other things :/

Maybe he is with you. It can either be confronting or scary. It depends on what you believe in.

Hello Ashley,

I am so sorry for you're loss. Sometimes when we have lost someone we believe that the person can go to heaven if you are religious. Or that the person is still with them, it is on what you believe in yourself. And it is okay to believe in what you feel also and what would be helpful for you. I have found this website https://www.powerofpositivity.com/11...ed-one-nearby/ and it talks about how you can feel people who have passed away and now you feel them in different ways. If you want to look at this.

I'm sorry that you are having a hard time with this, would you be able to talk to someone else about it and let them know. Would you be able to talk to you're family members or friends or find a therapist and talk about this and they would be able to help you out.

When you are having a hard time would you be able to try to do something to get you're mind off of this for a while and to help you out too. For example calling a friend or family member or drawing or writing or grabbing a book and reading for a while or going for a walk or putting on music or funny TV shows or movies or anything else that you enjoy doing. Doing different things when we are upset or something happened, it can sometimes help us to be okay. I hope that you will be okay soon. Sending you lots of hugs to help.

Hi, Ashley,

First, I'm very sorry for your loss.

My papa passed away in 2017 and sometimes I do feel like he's with me, though I'm not sure I've had the experience you describe here. I'm Catholic and so I believe in heaven, and I often have the sense that he is watching over me, but not necessarily walking around or sitting next to me if that makes sense.

I've been spooked in similar ways, though - especially after I watch something scary online. Every noise makes me jump out of skin; I feel like someone is watching me; and sometimes I swear I feel cold air surrounding me. But a lot of the time, it's just the air conditioner, and the mysterious noises are usually my cats getting into mischief. And usually the sense that I am being watched vanishes when I investigate and find the actual cause of the noises. You don't happen to have a cat, do you? My cats have turned the printer on by themselves before.

As Doglover2 said, are you near a vent, door, or window when you feel the cold air? Are there specific areas in the house that you feel it? Certain times of day?

As for the PS4, I don't know exactly how those work, but my sister and I had a PS2 that we had hooked up to the TV when we were kids. I'm assuming you probably have your PS4 hooked up to your TV as well, in which case it's possible that it didn't shut down properly after its last use and went into a sleep state, causing it to turn back on when you turned the TV on. Sometimes that happens with technology.

But if it is your grandfather, I doubt he means any harm and wouldn't want you to be afraid of him.

Hope this helps a bit!

All the best,
Kylie
