My bestfriends Grandma - July 30th 2009, 01:21 PM

Today, I found out, that my best friend, for almost 20 years lost her grandma.. I loved their grandma, she was always there when I'd go for sleepovers, and when their mom was working. She asked me to go to the funeral, as part of the family. Same with my mom. I'm just so upset about this.

Hi Brittany
I'm sorry to hear about your friend's Grandma, that's awful news.
I'm sure you and your friend can support each other with this and she will definatly appreciate you being there for her.
Don't be afraid to take all the time you need to feel better and deal with this in your own time.

Take care.

Hey, Brittany.

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend's grandma. It sounds like she was very important to you, and considering she was a part of your life for so long, it is understandable you are upset about her loss.

Although she is not your family by blood, that doesn't (in my eyes) make her any less your family. I hope you will be able to lean on others during this difficult time. Remember that it is always okay to talk about things.

Take care and remember TeenHelp is always here for you. Let me know if you need anything; I'm just a PM away.

Someday I will be strong enough to lift not one but both of us.
I told you to be patient
I told you to be fine
I told you to be balanced
I told you to be kind
