He's Dead - March 7th 2011, 04:39 AM

I got a text from a friend, saying kyle is gone! i was like please let it be a joke its not. 17 is to young!!! now i cant help but think back to past times. i was his sisters best friend for 2 years, i got to know him really well. I remember we made this movie, he made it so funny! we played rock band, and made silly putty! stupid things but we will never do them again. Then this year we were in the same spanish class, memories of slap jack. tomorrow is not going to be the same , my friends and i who knew him are all wearing black.

Hey, Sarah. Losing someone you're close to is always hard, but sometimes the hardest are when they are people close to your own age. It's scary because it challenges our own mindset when it comes to mortality and makes it more real.

I'm incredibly sorry to hear of the loss of your friend. I know there must be a million emotions going through your head right now. All of those feelings are valid, and I hope you are able to understand that it will be okay.

You said that you were his sister's best friend. I hope you have the chance to talk to her about this situation. Each of you can support each other in this hard time! Keep thinking about all of the good things and times you had with him. He'll live on in your memories, and you want that future to be a positive, happy one.

Let yourself grieve, but don't live in the past too much. Take care of yourself by sleeping well, eating right, and keeping your chin up. I know its hard, but I also know you can do it!

If you need anything, feel free to PM me.

-Kate
