I got word today from my mother and sister that a friend and patron of the bar my sister works at had committed suicide last night after leaving said bar. It's a trying time for everyone, especially after just a little over a year ago, we lost another patron due to a fire (he was a local firefighter). He was a wonderful guy, and always seemed so happy. No words can express what my mother and sister are going through, who have spent more time with him than I. I only met him a few times, only stopping to speak to him occasionally. There aren't any details out yet, and we don't know why he decided to committ suicide. Things are rough, and I'm not exactly sure how to help.

I'm so sorry this has happened. I know death is a horrible thing, and suicide is devestating. I hope you're coping. I'd thing you just need to be with your family at this time. When death occurs it's best to stick together and not isolate anyone. If you ever want to talk, you're free to PM me whenever. Hang in there, I know it's hard, but you can do this. I'm so sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry to hear about this Shannon. It is going to be a really difficult time for all of you. I think the best thing to do is lean on each other for support because doing it alone will make it much harder. Just try to take each day at a time.
