Favorite Stephen King - March 26th 2016, 02:15 AM

What's your favorite Stephen King novel?

I've read the stand and the one about cell phones (the cell or something) and that's about it. I liked them well enough but I thought he was over rated.

I do want to try him again but he has so many novels I don't know where to begin.

I've actually only read Carrie, as I've never been too interested in horror as a genre. That said I'm realising that I do have a higher threshold than I thought, so maybe I'll give the genre another go. A former friend of mine was obsessed with Stephen King, and I really wish I could remember what her recommendations were. I think she said that Pet Sematary and Under The Dome were particularly good, and I suppose The Shining is a classic and probably worth a try. That pretty much exhausts my knowledge of the subject, but I'll check back in on this thread later on because I'm definitely curious.

I've heard from others that under the dome, revival and then 11/22/63 is good.

His son has some books as well, Joe Hill, and I'm currently reading a book by him it's intriguing so far.
