TH Book Club: December selection - October 26th 2017, 01:40 AM

Hey all,

I wanted to post this to give everyone enough time to find the book with the holidays coming up. I have not read any of these books so I do not know if they have anything triggering in them. I haven't heard anything about triggers being mentioned but that does not mean they are not in there.

That being said, after this year, I think I am going to stop making these threads. I was using this year as a test run to see if this would be worth keeping around. However, not enough people seem to be participating and so it is hard to keep up with sometimes.

I fully admit that I haven't been able to keep up with the reading all the time either. But, I find myself feeling less motivated when I don't think a lot of people will be reading the book.

Maybe I will try this again at a later date. I was also thinking of just randomly doing buddy reads, periodically over the course of next year. Maybe four buddy reads a year...and then people would have three months to read the book.

It is possible that if I do it this way more people will participate. Still not certain about that though.

I really like the idea of doing four buddy reads a year- plenty of time to read then

That is what I'm thinking. Gives people time to get the book and if they are dealing with a lot, they have a longer period of time to read the book.
