Your NUMBER ONE favorite book. -

.....what is it?
Mine is The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd. I tend to read my favorite books over and over again and have read this one at least 16 times... ![]() "Do not ask yourself what the world needs. The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien
He wrote them as one volume, so that's why I say the whole "trilogy" Every line is poetry. Every sentence serves a purpose and advances the most beautiful story ever told. "Why isn't bull-riding (Beef NASCAR as I call it) the American sport to end all sports? It's an epic battle of the wills between a man and an angry cheeseburger; and if that doesn't typify our awesome civilization, I don't know what does." |

Unfortunately i rarely get to read books more than once these days but one that i have read several times and would read again is Memoirs of a Geisha, it paints such a vivid world, cant help but become lost in it. Close runner-up is Pride and Prejudice. I'm so in love with Mr. Darcy, reading it makes my heart race
I must dig these up and read them again over christmas

I love Looking for Alaska! It's such a great book. I am also a big fan of Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher, and Atonement by Ian McEwan. Oz: The monkey's the only cookie animal that gets to wear clothes, you know that?-- You have the sweetest smile I've ever seen.-- So, I'm wondering, do the other cookie animals feel sorta ripped? Like, is the hippo going, "Hey, man, where are my pants? I have my hippo dignity!" And you know the monkey's just, (French accent) "I mock you with my monkey pants!" And there's a big coup in the zoo. Willow: The monkey is French? Oz: All monkeys are French. You didn't know that? |

Just one book? Talk about impossibility! I really loved My Sister's Keeper, The City of Bones series thing (is it considered a series?
) and, no point in denying it, Twilight. Sorry twilight hating THers! But picking just one favorite is an impossibility, so I'm not even going to attempt that one.

Glamorama by Bret Easton Ellis, closely followed by Less Than Zero, The Rules of Attraction, and American Psycho... all by Ellis as well.
The man is a genius. "We all become important when we realize our goal should be to figure out our role within the context of the whole." “Alright, no need to fight ’cause everybody’s different and there’s nothin’ you can do about it and just because I don’t look like you or act like you it doesn’t make me any better or worse” |
