I think I read the first few pages and picked it up in a charity shop. I can't bring myself to read it yet, it just seems too triggering for me, but its sat on the shelf somewhere.

I read those books when I was ten. It made me so sad... I read them through twice. You are right though, really inspirational. If you liked it you should read 'Whatever mother says'.

To love. To be loved. To never forget your own insignificance. To never get used to the unspeakable violence and the vulgar disparity of life around you. To seek joy in the saddest places. To pursue beauty to its lair. To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple. To respect strength, never power. Above all, to watch. To try and understand. To never look away. And never, never, to forget

the girl who never stopped trying finally

I started reading it once, but it's just to sad to finish.

I read all three books and really enjoyed them. I agree they were really sad but also really inspirational.

There could never be amore beautiful you
Don't buy the lies, disguisesandhoops they make you jump through
You were made tofill a purposethat only you could do
So there could never be amore beautiful you
-Johnny Diaz

Everyday
is so wonderful
And suddenly it's hard to breathe
Now and then I get insecure
From all the pain, I feel so ashamed

I am beautiful no matter what they say
Words can't bring me down
I am beautiful in every single way
Yes, words can't bring me down, oh no
So don't you bring me down today

To all your friends you're delirious
So consumed in all your doom
Tryin' hard to fill the emptiness, the piece is gone
Left the puzzle undone, ain't that the way it is?

'Cause you are beautiful no matter what they say
Words can't bring you down, oh no
You are beautiful in every single way
Yes, words can't bring you down, oh no
So don't you bring me down today

I read it and it was heartbreaking that the mother could be so cruel and evil. >:[ But It was inspiring that the boy kept his strength and had hope

I haven't read it, but I've considered it. I'm not sure that I could handle the triggering-ness.
