New Staff Application system online!

Hey everyone,

Our new Staff Application system is now online. You are able to apply for Live Help Operator or Buddy at the moment. To apply you must have been registered for 30 days and have over 50 posts in the Forums.

Open up the application, it's got the description at the very top of it.

Buddies welcome people to the site and mostly post in Arrivals and Departures and make sure people are settling in OK. They also point users to the correct part of the site.

Mentors answer HelpLINK requests which consist of people asking for more detailed help and should also post on the forums relatively often. Think of it is as more detailed than a thread

Live Help Operators log onto Live Help and give one-on-one help in real time to whoever may need it. It is like IM but helping more

I'm sorry to hear that you were denied. Gotta roll with the punches of life though?

If anyone has any questions about staff duties or what is expected of them if they were to become a staff member, you could always PM a talent officer or a member of PC. They could probably answer any questions about staff for you, if you are thinking of applying. :-)

I have a question,and be honest.
I know before the site went down, if you wanted like a good chance of being accepted, you had to have atleast 250 posts.
Is that still true or...?

It was 50 posts. Currently, if you have over 50 posts you are getting a notice on the top of every page saying you are eligible to apply.

When I applied before it went down you needed 100 posts but now it has been lower to 50.
I thin it is because the site went down so peoples post counts are lower or because a lot more staff is needed.

The limit was reduced to 50 very shortly before the site went down because we started imposing a 30 day minimum registration period, so the higher post count was superfluous, especially when we had some users posting 100 times within 5 days of joining and applying for staff, so the 100 posts wasn't really a good measure of who's been here long enough.
