Is this bullying? - May 11th 2015, 08:17 PM

This guy I know that goes to the highschool in my county has been sending messages on Facebook messenger. He has called me various names, told me to stay out of peoples lives, to stop bothering other people and causing stuff, and other stuff. He has made me feel like I am nothing. Is this bullying? And the crazy thing about it is that in elementary school, I had a crush in him and me and him used to be really good friends.

Yes, that's bullying. More specifically cyber bullying. I would ask him politely (face to face or through facebook, your choice) to leave you alone; if he continues, warn him again that these messages are bothering and that if he doesn't stop you're going to have to tell someone responsible about this; If he is still bullying you, definitely go and tell someone about this, wether it be a teacher, your parents, the parents of some friends, and they'll help you sort it out. Just don't let it drag on, because the longer it goes on for, the harder it'll be to deal with it.

Hope this helps! And good luck!

Skye

Like it's been said, this is bullying. You can learn more about that here. I agree with letting him know he's hurting your feelings and asking him to stop. Most websites have a report feature, and I think you should report what he's saying to you so someone can look into it. I also agree with telling someone in your personal life so you don't have to go through this alone.
