Re: School Fights - December 2nd 2009, 01:16 AM

1. Please state your gender.
female

2. Have you ever been in a school fight?
yeap. Strangly enough mostly in elementary school....

3. How many school fights have you been in?
I don't know. Depends on seriousness of the fight. I think I was in more fight fights with my brother, but was in one or two with kids at school, but mostly just kind of hit, kicked, punched and bullied people and friends.

4. Has your school ever had a fight on youtube (or any other video site)? Know any school close to you that has?
No. Any fight that happens at my current school, administration looks on the cameras and take away any videos or pictures so that it doesn't leak and make the school bad. At my last high school, fights happened so often no one cared too much. (more ghetto a school)

5. What usually causes the fight?
Disrespect mostly.
At my first high school, sometimes it was gangs. (yeah, we had some minor gangs going to the school for a few days a year)
Here, if there is some pathetic fight, it's over something stupid like boys. ps, girls can't fight... it was a disgrace watching that fight...

6. How do teachers react?
Depends on the school. My last one, the ghettoer one, the teachers stayed out of it. They didn't want to get involved and get hurt, cause they would. They called the police usually if they weren't already there. Here, they break it up because no one really knows how to fight anyway so the teacher wouldn't get hurt.

7. How do parents react?
Depends on the parent =/
If it's a 'perfect' little family in the burbs, the parents get pissed their 'perfect' kid was in a fight. If it's a kid from the ghetto, often the parents don't give a damn. Now it can go either way of course, suburb parents who don't care and city parents who care too much. But that's just the majority I've seen and witnissed.

I'm gonna explain my violent behavior. Growing up, I fought and beat up a lot of kids from... 4th to 6th grade after my 2nd move. Around 7th and 8th, I moved to another state and decided to quit fighting since I was now in middle school, and would get in a lot more trouble. Since then I find myself quite violent, but try to keep myself from fighting, since now I'll be taken to jail. I think I'm violent due to my violent family.

As for my school, I've gone to 2 different high schools. (2 elementary, 1 middle school) The first one was technically in the suburbs, but we bussed a LOT of kids in from the city because we were so close to the edge. So that's why I say it was ghettoer. I like them fine, had quite a few friends from the city and hung out there a lot. (not to say I'm ghetto at all. lol too white) It's a dangerous life really. My new school is more in the suburbs in the bible belt. So it's... more redneck. And people are the whitest. So people freak out if there's a fight.

Take me seriously.
I dare you.

1. Please state your gender.
Female.
2. Have you ever been in a school fight?
No.

3. How many school fights have you been in?
None.

4. Has your school ever had a fight on youtube (or any other video site)? Know any school close to you that has?
Our school never has, but a school near us does all the time.

5. What usually causes the fight?
School rivalry, always try to beat each other down...kind of pathetic, but whatever.

6. How do teachers react?
They have suspended several students (from other schools).

7. How do parents react?
I don't want to be stereotypical or anything, but, a lot of these families at a school near us are pretty well off and have a lot of money, so their kids act just the way their parents do. The fact is, their parents don't care. They almost reward it.

3. None
4. I think there's been play fights on there but not a real fight.
5. Well we haven't had a school fight for ages but usually to do with boyfriends/girlfriends and stuff.
6. Anyone caught fighting gets excluded. If you're in multiple fights it's permanent.
7. Well like I said earlier we haven't had any fights for a years. It's kind of funny because last year two parents actually had a fight in front of the school.

1. Male
2. Yes
3. Several
4. Yes mine has.
5. People being stupid to one another.
6. Well, they leap over everything in their way and subdue the parties involved.
7. Some parents complain, my mom only cares what it was about and if I was in the clear to do what I did, which I always am. (Good self-control most of the time)

I however don't get into many more fights since the last one, people have become afraid of me, so I simply go on my way with no interference.

On the downside though, everyone is scared of me :/
I hardly have any good friends, and all the girls I like stay away from me.

1. Please state your gender. Male
2. Have you ever been in a school fight? Yes
3. How many school fights have you been in? Actual fights? I'd say 6, but I've been involved in uncountable pushing/shouting matches, and had a few fights broken up before they stated. I've had about 13 fights total if you count outside of school?
4. Has your school ever had a fight on youtube (or any other video site)? Know any school close to you that has? Yeah. My friend is in it :P
5. What usually causes the fight? 2 Were in gym class, so aggression. 1 was a guy talking shit so pride i guess, 1 time i was jumped by 4 people and it ended out being 4on4 when my friends arrived on the scene, and the other 2 just sort of happened.
6. How do teachers react? The gym fights got broken up as soon as the teacher noticed, other then that there was no teachers around
7. How do parents react?
My mom only ever cared about one of them cause I broke my hand and had to go to the doctor, the other times she just called me a fool, my dad was kind of indifferent, scrapping runs in our family.

1. Female
2. No.
3. None
4. There is only one fight that I know of that was posted on youtube. I'm not sure about fights from other schools.
5. Drug money, pointless drama/gossip, miscommunications
6. Some panic while others attempt to stop the fight and break it up. Fighting isn't tolerated at all.
7. Most of the parents aren't aware of the fights. Although, a notice was sent out since many fights have been breaking out recently.

"I've never told a lie,
and that makes me a liar,
I've never made a bet,
but we gamble with desire,
I've never lit a match,
with intent to start a fire,
but recently the flames,
are getting out of control.

1. Male
2. Yes
3. About a dozen school fights. About 50 after school fights
4. Yes, a fight I was in was put on youtube, but then was removed by the...youtube professionals..
5. Homophobia in alot of cases, or girls issues
6. Teachers are very anti violence, try to make sure it doesn't happen again
7. My parents ask me why I was in a fight, and if I was being stupid, they tell me I deserved it. If it was for what they deem a good reason, "Did you kick their ass?"

1. Female
2. Yes, one time, I guess...
3. 1 or 2
4. Yes, they really like that. It's awful.
5. Usually... couples or two girls/boys who fight for a boy/girl. Or they only want attention. Or they were asked by a friend to fight somebody because of a verbal fight. Sometimes racism, but that's when some of our school are fighting with people from a school in the neighbourhood.
6. Sometimes they don't. Sometimes they do nothing. Sometimes they intervent, but most of the time there's a teacher who talks to them. Or an educator.
7. At our school our educator doesn't call the parents if it's not absolutely nessecary. So most of the time, the parents don't know of it. My parents never knew about problems of mine.
