Unhappy I hate it now - June 21st 2011, 06:34 PM

I have being bullyed for the last 6 months for being the "blonde, emo (i hate being called that) girl. Yesterday, i dye was hair black to make them stop but it didnt stop the name calling. Anyways, the bullying got 100 times worst today because i went to the doctors today to see if i was really pregnant, me and my boyfriend found out 3 days ago. It turns out i am and im having twins to make it even worst and i send him a text saying that. Then, as he was reading it, his friend got his phone and shouted it out in class. My boyfriend punched him and got send out so then i was just walking in to class he told me what happen. When, the teacher came out he had to tell her so she was a bit thingy with us. Anyways, when we got back in to class everybody was calling me a slut and all of that crap. Now, im just sick of it all now and i dont know how to make it through school anybody. Has anybody got any advise ?

I don't think you're gonna make them stop easily. It'l take time. And by the way, just because they make fun of you having blonde hair, do not let that make you die your hair black. It won't make a difference. They'l find something else to pick on you for. It's not you having blonde hair that's a problem.

I think that all you can do is try to ignore it. You have someone who means something to you, your boyfriend, and he should be all you need to get through this. If the bullying ever turns physical, you'll have what you need to go to the police with it if it's bad enough. Maybe try the teachers first, but from my experience they weren't very helpful in my school.

Also in the event that it does turn physical, try to be prepared for it. Just be aware of your surroundings and try to avoid fights, and if you can't avoid a fight then anticipate their move, defend yourself and get away as soon as you get the chance. You got twins inside you, and you'd be putting them at risk if anything really bad happened to you.

But really I think the best weapon against verbal abuse is just ignoring it totally. Don't even act like you're ignoring it... just act like you totally don't give a shit what they say. It can be quite insulting to people when you act like that. I'd do it quite often in similar situations.

If you've got some spare time, read this:

But don't if you're easily triggered. If you're not easily triggered then go ahead.

People 'stereotyping' and bullying you because of your style is not nice at all. There are many ways you could help reduce it and stop it though. You can ignore the comments that the people are saying (Although this is a hard thing to do); if you find this doesn't work, then I'd recommend talking to somebody about the problems you are having with these people. A teacher may be a good person to talk, as they can sort this out for you, hopefully the bullies will stop after they have spoken to them.

If you need anything at all, feel free to PM me anytime.
Take care.

If you're good at it, sarcasm towards the bullies makes it hard to pick on you because you're displaying a 'don't give a fuck attitude' while standing your ground. I would tell you to ignore them but that could cause them to escalte to greater measures such as violence since you're not giving them a reaction.
I hate to sound cheesy but it really does get better! I went through the same thing where people called me emo all the time but as long as you're around positive people it will be better for you. Time heals all wounds! Good luck
