My counselor that I've been seeing for six months now for my anxiety, has given me some very good tips.

Is there anything specific that triggers your anxiety? If so, then I was told to touch or grasp something on me or close to me to keep my mind in check - it's a way to tell myself to: 'stop and think'. I ask myself why my anxiety is piqued and calm myself down by a breathing exercise she showed me, which I'm sure you've heard of too: 'breathe in with your nose, out with your mouth.'

If you're not in the middle of anything important, do something that you enjoy like listen to music or paint or draw, or maybe play a video game or even come on here and chat with us

There are so many ways that you can use to relieve your anxiety, and those are only a few that I know help me. For more, you can always talk to a doctor or mental health professional.
