So today I told my mom I was going to go to the post office to get us more stamps. I also went to the gas station and got myself two lighters.

Now, if you don't know me. I like burning stuff. So I spent this afternoon lighting Post-Its and dryer lint on fire. I accidentally filled my basement with smoke, but my parents didn't notice at all. It was great fun.

Im not addicted to fire, but I LOVE watching stuff burn. There's just something I love about fire, but im not sure what.

In my chem class last year, we had a unit called blowing shit up.
We got to make fireworks and do a bunch of other stuff. It was great. Although I'm kinda scared of fire.
With that, I want to mention that fire is dangerous and should be done with great caution.

I don't light things on fire compulsively or very often anymore, however, I do like the smell of the smoke (depends what's being burnt though). In my last year of high-school especially, I carried a lighter with me not to smoke but to just burn stuff. Unfortunately, my parents found the lighter and their first reaction was that I smoke at least a pack a day. They knew I was burning things, not always of what though when it was at school, so they suspected smoking. It took a lot of convincing on my part as well as buying new lighters but eventually their persistence in snooping involved telling my teachers who would report to me and/or my parents. As a result, it became a pain in the ass so I stopped for the most part.

The major time when my parents got pissed at me was when in chemistry class, through an act of clumsiness on my part and my friend, he accidentally got set on fire and burned a noticable hole in his lab coat. Truthfully, we were working together but he actually knocked it over onto himself but I got blamed by my parents because my friend and I were taunting each other with the fire (bunsen burner). I almost set the curtains on fire from knocking over candles but those were pure accidents I didn't get blamed for.

Yep! This is me right now too. I also find it interesting to just show my friends that I have a lighter with me, and to see how they react. Insights into human nature and whatnot. I'm so absurdly analytical.

Fwoosh! That sounds... interesting. I set my desk on fire once, though that was entirely my stupidity.

I nearly poisoned myself last Friday burning acetone in my bathroom. I started feeling light-headed before I realized that a ton of carbon monoxide was being produced, and was like OH SHIT THIS IS NOT HAPPENING. Then, I opened the window, ran out, closed the door, and read the Wikipedia article on CO poisoning. Not an experience I'd like to repeat.

It was terrifying! I considered sleeping with all the windows open that night. Things are always funnier in hindsight when you have the wisdom to laugh at yourself.
