Class schedules! - December 15th 2013, 04:00 AM

It's my favorite thread each semester...since I love school.

My school schedule:
  • Sex and Policy: A graduate level class through the public affairs school. Seems exciting.
  • Abnormal Psychology
  • Health and Social Relationships
  • Urban and Environmental Health
  • Global Health Policy
  • Human Evolution OR Disease Outbreak Investigation. I'm trying to get into the outbreak investigation class, but still waiting on approval of the instructor.
18 credit hours of school. Plus I'll be working two jobs for sure, I'm trying to get a third job, and I'm trying to get a volunteer position or internship.

What's YOUR schedule look like this spring, education and job wise?

- Mathematics
- Advanced Mandarin
- English
- Advanced Indonesian
- Anthropology
- Indonesian Literature
- Early Childhood Psychology Education
- Theatre Arts*

Re: Class schedules! - December 15th 2013, 12:10 PM

I'm only taking three classes this semester. I'm taking it easy.
  1. Aesthetics (it's a philosophy class that fulfills an Art requirement)
  2. Literature & Identity (a gen. ed. English class)
  3. Mindfulness (a seminar class; sounds interesting since I already have some background in Mindfulness through DBT)

No job for me until the summer.

I have 4 modules each semester at unviersity. Next semester's ones are :

1. Essential Pharmacology
2. Molecular Biology : Cell Function and Pathology
3. Techniques and Skills 3a (Statistics)
4. Techniques and skills 3b (Grant proposal and bioethics)

Not really looking forward to these modules but hopefully they won't be as bad as I'm expecting

As for job wise, I currently volunteer at a charity shop and will also be doing some training next semester to become a peer mentor for the new students that arrive next year

Re: Class schedules! - December 17th 2013, 11:33 PM

I just have 5 modules this year
One was completed last week just waiting for results and lectures for the rest have all started but the assessments are in May.
  1. Evaluating & Interpreting Medical Images
  2. Service Delivery in a Changing Environment DONE
  3. Integrating Technology with Clinical Practice
  4. Research Methodologies and Independent Study (Dissertation-10,000 words)
  5. Clinical Radiography 3

I also have 13 more weeks of clinical placement and a practical assessment on placement to complete.

Job wise, I don't have time for one as placement is basically working as an unpaid Radiographer, 9am-5pm, 5 days a week with some night shifts which are 8pm - 8am. When doing 9-5 I leave at 7.30am and get back at 6.30pm, throw uni work and a 10,000 word dissertation on top of that and I'm usually exhausted all the time. I try and take 1 day of the weekend to do stuff not uni related but I usually end up using it to catch up on sleep, doing a food shop, washing my uniform and other laundry, and cleaning the house (with help from my boyfriend).

I hope you know that you deserve it all. The best, the most honest, the most beautiful purest love in the world. Not only to be loved by others, but to be loved by yourself. To look in the mirror and think "Yes, I'm exactly who I want to be". To speak up and be proud of yourself. To be brave and open. You deserve the nicest and most caring people to walk into your life. You deserve it all, you know. The whole world...
