academising public school?
academising...is that a word?

my school is being taken over by another school in solihull and turning it into an academy because our school is in OFSTED's special measures. they're making tonnes of promises and telling us what should happen, but nobody's telling us what it'll be like. they're spending all the money on changing the uniform and nobody knows what's going on -- including the teachers. they're replacing our head with their deputy, and calling us after their own school -- e.g. <NAME OF THEIR SCHOOL> <NAME OF CITY> Academy (aka an awful name!). try doing it with your own school/ex-school. it's terrible.

has anyone gone to an academy, or experienced this change?
