Public Administration - June 10th 2018, 08:34 PM

For reasons, this is a degree path I am looking into. It seems quite interesting and there is a fully online course I can take through my colleges state system.

That being said, I am wondering if anyone has any information or if it requires a lot of math. Most of what I have seen seems like it's minimal math but I would assume that depends on the program.

The main reason I am asking is because I don't know how well I would do with math via online school.

I know for the program I want to get into I have to do an upper division writing test. Analyzing texts and then proving/disproving things. It seems self explanatory and I write well but I am nervous about it.

Any information would be helpful. I've looked into Business Administration but Public Administration interests me a bit more.

Interesting choice!

From a UK perspective, the courses I looked at didn't require maths or didn't seem like there was a lot of maths involved.

Looking at jobs in public admin (American), it seemed like most of the data handling involved opinions from others, comments etc. So I'm guessing it is minimal maths, like you said. Though it really depends on specific courses or jobs, I guess.

It's normal to get a bit nervous before tests. But you do write well, so I'm sure you'll be okay!

Hope others can give more insight!
