Last Day - June 12th 2009, 04:52 PM

So today was the last day of my co-op, and I already miss the kids soo much. They mean the world to me. Especially one of the girls, who I have worked one-to-one with my entire time I was there, everyday I'd work with her. She was so upset today. I miss them so much. They all made me cards which I loved because I love getting cards.

Also, on Monday, I am done high school FOREVER!!

Hey Brittany-

I can relate to feeling sad about the ends of jobs! I work at a day care center and when I'm done each year I feel so sad. It's so wonderful to be able to connect with the kids so much, isn't it? Will you ever be able to go back and visit or keep in touch with the people there? Congrats with being done on Monday!! How awesome

Ah it must be nice to be done high school; I wish I was. Unfortunately I have another year.

It seems like you really enjoyed your Co-Op placement and that's great. I'm assuming that may a be a career path that you intend on following. You appear to really love it which is an amazing thing. Too many people dislike their jobs. It's important to do something that you love.

Although you're going to miss them, there's no reason you can't visit them. I'm sure the children would be more than thrilled to see a surprise visit from you in the near future. Yes, this part of your life is coming to an end but another is beginning. Embrace every opportunity. I'm sure you'll do a great job.[:

Leaving a job with such a loving environment is tough. D= I work at a doggy day care, and as disgusting and exhausting as it can be sometimes, I love the "regulars". =) I'll be so sad when I have to quit... which hopefully won't be for another two years.

Today was my last day of classes for this school year. So I guess I'm officially going to be a third-year psychology major now! =D It's exciting, but again, there's a sense of sadness (I won't be able to live on-campus anymore - they only guarantee housing for the first two years - so no more walking to classes in 5 minutes or grabbing a quick bite from the cafeteria). =(
