Exclamation New school next year? - August 5th 2009, 06:40 PM

I'm going to a new school next year (public high school, going into 10th grade). Any advice on how to meet people? I'm a person who's really passionate about stuff and sometimes that makes people uncomfortable around me because I express my opinions and I get so into things (almost OCD but it's not really OCD, but people could call it OCD). I also LOVE school. I LOVE learning and studying and everything! Especially spanish! Any advice on how to make new friends even with these personality conflicts (yes, I've had conflicts arise because of this stuff)?

Just be friendly and chat to people and before you know it you will have made friends It is hard at first but once you start chatting to people it gets easier. Perhaps you need to be able to listen to other peoples opinion as well. That doesn't mean accept it but just listen and acknowledge it. You could also join some clubs because that way you will meet people whilst having fun. Good luck, I hope everything goes well for you.
