Summer programs? - March 2nd 2010, 09:01 PM

Would it be a good idea to go to a summer program for medical assistants before I go to college?

Yes!
Summer programs help you see if you are really interested in the area you want to go to. I went to one before going to college for engineering and I loved it.
Good Luck.!

If you're truly serious about pursuing a career in medicine later on in life, then yes, I feel this would be an excellent opportunity for you to learn and to be exposed to new things. It looks good on a resume, too...

You want to do anything to improve your resume. So, do take advantage of any summer program for medicine because it will help you tremendously. Also, it will give you a sense of how medical field works.

To laugh often and much; To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; To earn the approbation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; To appreciate beauty; To find the best in others; To give of one's self; To leave the world a bit better...; To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived - This is to have succeeded. - Ralph Waldo Emerson
