One more lecture, I swear.... - March 25th 2010, 06:45 PM

I usually like to work at my own pace, not the quickest however it works. Since about Febuary...I'm in the "Can't be bothered unless I enjoy it mood" I love to study. But I can't keep my focuas.

In biology we did some coursework and I didn't finish it. Sir said come back after school. I just didn't want too. I can do some more coursework. we do about 3-4 and submit the best one in. But I can't seem to focuas Geography bores me to tears. History is my only lively subject. (out of my choices). I feel as if I can go anywhere but I'm completely still...

I promised myself...That I will no one will ever make me feel small again, or cry (unnessicarly). But I still try even though I feel out cold. I don't give up or make the same mistake twice (well try not too); Yet to day was the cherry on top.

All day nearly every lesson A teacher gave us a lecture. Maths a rant on how irresponsable we all are. Bio how idiotic we all are. I'm tired. I was so close to yelling at my maths teacher. Because my head is about to explode. One more lecture from be they teacher or parent. The gloves are coming off.

My rant done sorry
Nina

I know you probably don't want to hear this but if you don't do coursework then what do you expect your Biology teacher to do? Just let you get on with it. Geography may seem boring but the best thing to do is just get on with it since you either study for it or you fail and in the long run studying a boring subject's a lot better than failing it.

Teachers lecture you because they want the best out of you and sometimes people just need a kick up the arse in order for them to do any work. Those lectures were probably directed at most people in your class and I used to get class lectures when I was doing my GCSEs even though I was doing work other people weren't so you just have to sit through the lectures until the teacher's had their moan.

History is always good! It is important you do all your coursework for other subjects though, as mentioned. The rants won't all be directed at you, don't worry. I have a maths teacher who literally has a rant every single lesson at the class. But I know it doesn't really apply to me. So if you try and do all the work etc, you can sit there feeling better because you know it doesn't apply to you. Sometimes though, the lectures are useful! They can teach you things that you didn't already know that perhaps could motivate you a lot! If not motivate everyone else in your class.

Have you tried talking to any of your teachers about not being able to focus? If you do that, perhaps they will be more understand, could cut you more slack and generally be there to support you more? It could be worth doing.

Take care.
Anna
