Degree Dilemma - July 31st 2010, 07:53 PM

Hey there!

Well I'm studying Genetics and have to pick subjects form next year... my 3rd year, which means picking my degree titile..

Anyway, I have a dilemma. I can either pick a module I find really hard and struggle with, and have great lecturers or a module I love with lecturers who really can't lecture.... help?

It depends how much work you're willing to put into it yourself, if you want to put a lot of work in, essentially learning the module by yourself then go with the latter.

If you can't, the former

Its a catch 22 at the minute. I barely passed the module that goes with the good lecturers this year, but I also can't bare to sit in a room, where lecturers read off a page and show you videos that irrelevant to the subject.

I guess I'm starting to panic as I need my grades up to get into honours and am no thinking I've too many hours at work!

You might be able to reduce your hours in September if funds allow.

Nobody can tell you what to pick directly but in my opinion it's easier to learn about something you love than something you don't. I don't know if your uni has past papers available for view
