Work Experience. - November 5th 2010, 11:14 PM

Since I have had to pick a placement for my work experience it got me thinking what other people did for theirs..

I have decided to either work as a Clinic Assisstant at Kings Mill Hospital or work in the National Archives for 2 weeks... Hopefully I'll get the hospital placement.

So yeah... where'd you guys do your work experience?

Due to issues going on at the time, I had to work in School :L
We were not allowed to work in hospitals or anything anyway, we got told we were to young.

I hope it all goes well, it'll be a great experience.

Working at the hospital is supposed to be really good...I wish I'd done it now...would have been a great thing to put on my UCAS app.

I worked in a pub for a few days
And then Asda for a few days...and called in sick for the rest of the time because I hated it...don't work in a supermarket xD

I did 2 weeks in a nearby primary school for my work experience. It was good, but I wish I'd done it in a retail shop now, as a lot of places when applying for jobs are asking for retail experience.

I did work experience at Kings Mill hospital! It was good although the hospital is somewhat falling apart. But I was rotating around different departments. As interesting as hospitals are (and they are) being a clinic assistant for two weeks in the same clinic in the same department would drive me up the wall... if you do go perhaps ask if you can see other departments.

I worked for two weeks in an office where my step Dad works. It was pretty good, I spent the majority of it playing pinball and other games.

The first time I went to the library, which was boring. Second time I worked with a magazine which was fun. Got to write an article and everything.

Mine was rubbish. I couldn't be bothered to decide anything so I worked in an office. But the next year I was able to go to a nursery once a week which I loved.

I currently work at Blockbuster, and used to work at 2 other places, that shall remain nameless. Umm.. I also did 2 co-ops, one as an Educational Assistant, and one as a gym teacher. both at schools.

I went to a nursery. I absolutely loved it! I was in for 3 hours a day and I played games with the kids and read to them etc. I was loads of fun

Also, Charli, if you have any idea of what you'd like to do when you're older then maybe try and get work experience relating to it? Would look good if you apply for university or for a job in that area, they all want experience these days

Ah, work experience.
I did a week at a vet, and a week at the zoo, which was awesome.
