Cover Letter - November 14th 2010, 03:38 AM

I have my resume figured out, but I need a cover letter. I am not entirely sure what to put down on it. Any resources would work, but I would love to see an example from someone. I've heard so many different reasons for a cover letter such as it's your "sell" and to get the employer to know why you would be a great fit for the job.

If anyone is willing to share their cover letter, take out any personal information.

What you write on a cover letter depends what you are applying for. They should be different for each company you apply for.

For a cover letter, you basically just need to say why you want the job that you're applying for. Say why you would be good for the job, and why the company is good.

So for that reason, each one needs to be different because it changes between companies, but the layout would be the same. You don't need to write loads in a cover letter. Just a quick note.

Take care.

Just a side note, I do read through resumes etc at my job, however, sometimes we don't fully read through Cover Letters, so make it short and simple really, don't go into too much detail
