Work Experience? - December 9th 2010, 07:42 PM

For school we have to go do a week of work experience. Im aiming to be a wedding/ evening dress designer, so what kind of places would be genuinely enjoyable to go to?

Maybe a shop that sells wedding dresses could interest you?

Or it may be a little hard to find but you could see if you can work with someone who designs clothes.

Where I used to live we had a wedding dress shop/prom dresses, but she also made her own dresses aswell, I'd have a look at what wedding dress shops are near to you, and then ring up and explain your doing work exp and are wanting to be a wedding dress designer when your older, and ask them if they make dresses, and if they do find out if you can go there. But I must warn you that some shops just take advantage of having someone there for free and make you do all the crap jobs.

This is not really DESIGNING clothes, but what about a consignment shop?
