Need a good topic for a speech -
August 12th 2011, 09:20 AM
Hey,
So, I need a good, strong topic for a speech. We have to give a 4 minute speech and I have absolutely no idea on what. So I would like some suggestions. So please, feel free. And please make it fast. I have to give my speech on Tuesday. So I don't really have much time. |

It would depend on what kind of speech it is.. Is it speaking to argue/inform/advertise?
Personally, I think topics that you find interesting and are passionate about are ones that are good to do. A topic that might work for one person might not work for another person, so I would suggest you think about what you like. |

I completely agree with what Faye said. I took both speech classes offered at my school in high school and that's what helped me come up with topics. You could talk to your teacher and ask them to help you come up with something that they believe will help you do well.
If you tell us some of the things you're interested in then we can help you more with a topic though. Also tell us what kind of speech it is. NO H8 What a terrible mess I'm in... |

What's important to you? Do you want it to be academic or something related to you're hobbies and interests? Is there a current event that you're interested in? Something in the news you could discuss? Have you done well in an essay or assignment recently that you could take ideas from? What about a holiday you've been on? Or something about your futures goals and ambitions?
I sympathise with you though, I was always useless at coming up with topics for things like speeches and presentations! Good luck

That would be a very good topic because much of the research on "brain drain" does include India. One person I would mention in it is Joel Spring and his writings on the globalization of education.
I can rip you off, and steal all your cash, suckerpunch you in the face, stand back and laugh. Leave you stranded as fast as a heart-attack.
