Does anyone on the forums play hockey?? I am kinda startin up and a I need some tips on well just how to stop... I know how to do most of the starts, and I can stop going backwards, its just starting going forwards that is my demise on the ice. Anything will help

Hockeyyyyyyyy the best sport ever.
 If I even tried to explain stopping, it would make no sense. There are a bunch of videos on YouTube about how to stop on skates. My cousin played Hockey competitively. It's a great sport to watch.
 I, myself would never play though. Just not my thing. |

My family is a hockey family. I couldn't play because I have arthritis, but I'm obsessed. I don't have any specific tips except don't give up. It's an incredibly challenging sport that takes time. Do you want to play offense? Defense? Goalie?

I used to back in high school, for about 2 seasons and a summer camp for hockey, probably the most fun I've had playing a sport, I totally need to get back into it :P
