On track you need spikes for best performance... I don't know much about these but someone in a good sports shop should know.
For cross country... I like nike or nike air. They're nice and padded and comfy and your feet breath in them. Downfall is they're expensive and not waterproof... but that's the case with all good running shoes!
They look ok... Get ones which have lots of mesh, the solid stuff (I think it's rubber or something...) is rubbish in comparison!

You should go into a proper shoe shop that sells running shoes. They can help you find the best shoes for your feet. You can certainly ask your coach if they can refer you to any local shops or brands they might suggest. As for reviews on shoes, you can find those online using a simple Google search. As wonderful as reviews are, you should pick shoes that are absolutely right for your feet.

I don't think they're good for track, but I actually really love my TrimStep. (Cheaper version of ShapeUps) Not because they're supposed to give you a good butt, because I don't think mine has, but because they were really cheap, and really easy to walk in at work. Plus putting them on is really fun, it's a whole new feeling

But like I said, I don't know if that's a good shoe to run in. Walking around, chasing after dogs is totally different from long distance running, sprinting, jumping, whatever it is that you do. So yeah, I'd suggest going to a shoe shop because what might work awesome for someone else, might not be so great for you. Everyone's got different shaped feet after all!

Take me seriously.
I dare you.

I personally like asics i just find them really good for running they are very cushioned and have good grip. They have just been my runners of choice so maybe I am a bit biased. I am not a huge fan of Nike myself like I know a lot of people are.

I really want a pair of five ten shoes but then again that is more a free running kind of shoe but I think they are really worth the money.

As long as they're proper running reebok they're fine
You need the cushioning for protection and if you find they work that's fine

I like Nike. They're usually more for thinner feet I believe, which is nice for me. They have some extremely light ones, which are nice for probably sprinting or short term running probably. I wouldn't think they would be durable for long running like cross country, but that's just me... They're probably more expensive too, and they wouldn't really benefit you that much for long term running. Also with Nike, they have this awesome thing called Nike+ where most (if not all) of their newer shoes have a little compartment almost built into the shoe to put in a little chip that is almost like a pedometer. It keeps track of your steps, mileage, pace, and all that fun stuff. It connects with iPods and it stores on your iPod and you can then download that information onto the website on the computer and stuff. You do actually have to buy the Nike+ pac, but the shoes come with the pouch built in so all you have to do, after you set it up, is turn on your iPod and go
