How do I tell my friends I'm leaving?

I might be moving to Australia next year, and I don't know how to tell my friends
And the thing is, I sort of want to go even though its scary moving to the other side of the world, and I don't know how to tell my friends without sounding like I want to leave them

Oh man! I remember when I moved from Canada to the US at 13, and that was a tremendous move. Yours is unimaginably big!

It is scary, but at the same time I can totally understand how it'd be something exciting and even to look forward to. Just tell your friends about it simply and directly. Tell them that you're excited to start a new stage in your life, but that you'll miss them tremendously and will want to spend every moment with them you can before you leave -- something that I'm sure is not far from the truth, if not exactly it.

i dont know how to really answer this, i moved from germany to America in texas. I HUGE CHANGE i will tell you, different customs, different thoughts, different everything. I left so suddenly i didnt even have time to say good bye to my friends and half of my family....so i had to grab the axiety by it's horns and just go with it. I'm a guy, so maybe it's different for girls (im not sexist) but if you cant deal with it, it deals with you. In a rather hurtful way. So ya, get the goodbyes in order, and hell through a party before you go. Take a momento, like a peice of jewelry or something not so extravaganet i took my class ring with me, even though i did not graduate their. So...ya, get ready for a LOT of new things....and have fun. (forgive me if my english is off.)
